What we believe
The Bible
We believe in the verbal inspiration and inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures and the authority of both the Old and New Testaments. 2Tim 3:15-26, 2Pet 1:21
God
We believe that God eternally exists in three Persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit-and that these three are one God Luke 3:22, 1 John 5:7
Man
We believe man was created in the image of God, but sinned and fell through
disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's lost and depraved nature. Gen 1:27, Rom 5:12
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus, the eternal Son of God, took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, yet retained His absolute deity, being at the same time fully God and fully man. Luke 1:31,35, 1Pet 2:22 , Heb 4: 14-15 ?, Heb 2:17-18
Atonement for Sin
We believe that atonement for sin was made by shedding of his blood and sacrificial and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. Rom 4:9-11, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Heb 9:24-26
The Resurrection
We believe in the literal resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His priestly intercession.
John 21:14 , Act 1:9, Rom 8:34
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this evidenced by a changed life. Acts 2:38, Eph 2:8 , John 3:3
The Holy Spirit / Indwelling of the Spirit.
While all believers are in-dwelt by the Spirit of God (Romans 8), we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite endowment of power for service and is separate from conversion. And is essential for effective service. Acts 1:8
Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, are Water Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again.
Mat 28:19, Acts 2:38, Luke 22:19, 1Cor 11:24-25
Eternity
We believe in the eternal salvation of the believers and in the eternal damnation and punishment of the unbelievers.
We believe the visible, personal and glorious return of Jesus Christ. Act 24:15 , Dan 12:2, 1Cor 15:51-52, Acts 1:11, Titus 2:13
